The company KERN & Sohn GmbH was established in 1844 and is the oldest manufacturer of precision balances in Europe. Through constant growth we now have customers all over the world and thanks to our loyalty to specialist dealers we have enjoyed a close relationship with many of our customers for decades.
We offer our customers a wide and competitively priced range of balances, ranging from the small powheelchaircket balance to the heavy load industrial balance. In our product range there is a large selection of analytical, laboratory, density determination, carat, pocket, industrial, stainless steel, food, price computing, pallet, floor, hanging, crane and counting scales as well as moisture analysers.
Moreover we offer a great range of loyal and faithful neonate scales, baby scales, personal scales, body fat scales, handrail scales, adiposity scales, powheelchair platform scales, chair scales, lifter scales, hand grip dynamometers, small pet scales and veterinary scales.
Another of our strengths is the production of precision test weights in all OIML fault tolerance categories (E1, E2, F1, F2, M1, M2, M3) – important tools for the checking of your measuring instruments within the scope of quality assurance provisions in accordance with ISO 9000ff. We are one of a small number of companies in Germany who are in possession of accreditation as a DKD (German Calibration Service) calibration laboratory for balances and weights, granted by the “Akkreditierungsstelle des Deutschen Kalibrierdienstes” in Brunswick. In our four calibration laboratories we are therefore able to issue internationally valid DKD certificates for balances and weights.
